Costa Ragusa: a successful debut: first-season results and prospects for growth

Some projects are born with a long-term vision. Costa Ragusa is one of them: a transformation journey aimed at unlocking the potential of south-eastern Sicily through a diverse hospitality offering that brings together accommodation, sports, wellness and experiences.

The first operational season, in summer 2026, marked an important starting point. The two properties, Mangia’s Costa Ragusa Borgo and Icona’s Costa Ragusa Resort, recorded a combined total of over 24,600 room nights, while the Borgo achieved a Guest Satisfaction Index of 93%. These results reflect positive guest feedback and lay the foundations for the next stages of development.

Two properties, one shared vision

The project brings together two complementary offerings: Mangia’s Costa Ragusa Borgo, a 5-star full all-inclusive resort, and Icona’s Costa Ragusa Resort, a 5-star luxury property. Two distinct experiences, united by the ambition to contribute to the development of a destination that still holds significant potential.

A model that goes beyond the traditional concept of a hotel stay, connecting the different experiences offered by the surrounding area and catering to the needs of an international clientele.

New experiences and opportunities for growth

The journey will continue with a second phase of development, involving further investments by 2028. Particular attention will be given to families, through the enhancement of activities and services for children and teenagers, as well as to the MICE segment, with the expansion of spaces and facilities dedicated to meetings, events and incentive travel.

This evolution aims to broaden the range of stay opportunities and encourage greater seasonality balance, making Costa Ragusa an attractive destination beyond the traditional summer months.

Donnafugata Golf Resort: a new addition

Another element of this vision is the relaunch of Donnafugata Golf Resort, scheduled for 2027. The redevelopment project will involve the accommodation facilities and sports infrastructure, including the two 18-hole golf courses, further expanding opportunities to discover the destination through sports and wellness experiences.

Costa Ragusa represents a strategic project for Mangia’s and an investment in Sicily’s tourism potential. Through collaboration with its partners and a progressive development program, the Group continues to work towards creating an integrated destination capable of combining hospitality excellence, the enhancement of the local area and new opportunities for growth.
