Antonio Denotti’s journey, now General Manager of Mangia’s Sardinia Resort, between international hospitality, leadership and a vision of luxury

Inside Mangia’s | Growing in hospitality, with vision and leadership

Inside Mangia’s was created to tell the stories of those who, every day, help shape our vision of hospitality. Different journeys, international experiences, professional and personal choices that intertwine in an authentic narrative of growth, ambition and continuous evolution.

This is the story of Antonio Denotti, General Manager of Mangia’s Sardinia Resort.

Let yourself be inspired by the journey that shaped his vision.

“Mexico is the place that best defines me”

If he were to choose a place that best captures his professional and personal journey, Antonio Denotti would have no hesitation.

“I would say Mexico.”

A choice that goes beyond the simple memory of a work experience.

For Antonio, Mexico represents a culture of hospitality lived in every dimension, where every element of the destination contributes to building the guest experience.

“There I saw the highest expression of service. It is not just about the hotel: everything that surrounds the destination is oriented towards giving the guest a complete experience.”

An approach that continues to inspire his vision of hospitality to this day.

Hospitality is no longer a product

Over the course of his international career, Antonio has witnessed a profound transformation of the sector.

A change that has transformed the very concept of hospitality.

“Today hospitality no longer simply means offering a room or a table at a restaurant.”

Hotels are increasingly beautiful, modern and technologically advanced.

The real difference, however, is built elsewhere.

“Hospitality today means creating personalised experiences.”

An evolution that requires an ever deeper understanding of people and their expectations.

Leading thousands of people

Over the course of his career, Antonio has led teams and properties of very different sizes, supervising more than 4,000 colleagues in multicultural international environments.

An experience that taught him a fundamental lesson.

“Communication is the most important thing.”

For him, every person must feel part of the shared project.

“When you communicate clearly, share the vision and involve people, you get much more. People work with motivation because they understand the purpose of their work.”

A principle he considers valid at every level of the organisation.

Leadership means showing the way

Leading multicultural teams means engaging every day with different sensibilities, values and approaches.

For this reason Antonio does not believe in a single model of leadership.

“There is no formula that works for everyone.”

There is, however, a principle he considers universal.

“A leader must help the team, support it and show the way.”

For him, leadership does not consist in dragging people along, but in creating the conditions for them to give their best.

True luxury is in the details

After many years spent in international luxury hospitality, Antonio has developed a very clear vision of what makes a stay memorable.

“Memorable experiences are built through knowing the guest.”

Knowing preferences, needs and expectations makes it possible to create moments capable of leaving a lasting memory.

“Today luxury is no longer just the marble in the lobby or the beauty of the property.”

The difference lies in the small details.

“An unexpected gesture, a personalised touch, a tailor-made experience: these are the things guests truly remember.”

The choice of Mangia’s

After more than twenty-five years spent abroad, Antonio chose to return to Italy by taking on a new professional challenge.

A decision that came together very quickly.

“One call with our President was enough for me to realise I was in the right place.”

What struck him most was above all the entrepreneurial vision of the group.

But also a value he considers fundamental.

«L'umiltà dei fondatori.»

A quality he recognised immediately and that contributed to his decision to join Mangia’s.

A new vision for the Sardinia Resort

Mangia’s Sardinia Resort is going through a phase of profound evolution, accompanied by its affiliation with Marriott’s Autograph Collection.

For Antonio this is an important strategic step.

“Our ambition is to become one of Marriott’s reference hotels in Northern Sardinia.”

An objective built by enhancing what makes the destination unique.

“We have an extraordinary location, an authentic territory and a unique beach. These are elements that allow us to offer something truly distinctive.”

The future of hospitality will be ever more authentic

Looking at the years ahead, Antonio sees a sector in continuous transformation.

Technology will continue to play a fundamental role.

But it will not be enough.

“There is a risk that hospitality becomes too cold.”

For this reason many luxury establishments are following a different direction.

“People are looking for authentic experiences, memorable moments, real emotions.”

Whether it is a private dinner by the sea or a tailor-made moment, what matters is the ability to create genuine connections.

Passion above all

After an international career built across resorts, hotels and destinations around the world, there is one conviction that Antonio continues to repeat.

“If you don’t have passion for this work, it is better to change profession.”

Because hospitality requires energy, dedication and constant presence.

But it is also a sector capable of giving back enormously to those who live it with enthusiasm.

“I love being in contact with guests, meeting new people and living the resort every day. That is what continues to excite me.”

Looking ahead

For Antonio Denotti, hospitality is much more than a service.

It is the ability to create authentic experiences, build relationships and guide people towards a common goal.

An international journey that has brought him to a simple but timely conviction:

the future of hospitality will be increasingly technological, but true luxury will continue to be profoundly human.
