Unusual Sardinia

Explore the true traditions and everyday life of Gallura: granite region and home of cork!

After breakfast, we will leave and cross a magnificent landscape to arrive in Luras, a typical Gallura town. We will visit the Ethnographic Museum, an ancient shepherd’s house from the 1700s where you can admire about 7000 artifacts.

The tour will continue to Calangianus, where you will visit a cork factory and see other handmade objects! We will stop for lunch in a typical restaurant, where you can enjoy local Sardinian dishes, accompanied by excellent local wine, music and folk songs.

In the afternoon we will continue to Tempio Pausania, the charming principal town at the heart of Gallura, famous for its historic center made of granite buildings and paving and tree-lined avenues, where there will be a guided tour of Nuraghe Majori, important evidence of the nuragic civilization in Sardinia in 1600 B.C.

There will be a short stop in the town to admire the Cathedral and the Town Hall, built entirely of granite, before we return to the hotel for dinner.
